Why isn't there an EMS VCS3 or EMS Synthi AKS reissue/clone? So nowadays there are various MiniMoog or Moog modular based clones and reissues, Roland SH/Juno/Jupiter/JX3P Boutiques, 808, 909 and 303 clones/Boutiques, Mellotron M4000, Waldorf Streichfett string ensemble, Korg ARP Odyssey clone/reissue, Korg MS20 (mini) reissue, Prophet reissue. The EMS AVS is the software emulation of the EMS synthi A, well even EMS / rehberg say 'it is not the original' but since there was some approach before rehberg may have found a nice agreement (well done!! Thanks!!) and sell the VST PC-only plugIn for 350€ now under the name of EMS AVS.

  2. Last time I saw a price for a real VCS3 or AKS it was $10-15k USD. There was an official EMS AKS VST years ago but it was like E400. I have the XILS stuff. It is cool, but it sounds nothing like a Synthi (VCS3/putney). I have tried Reaktor program to replicate the VCS3 and was very disappointed.
